Dreaming Heart
Once upon a time in Zambia (Africa), a kind young girl was married off to a man who would became a brutal and abusive father to the five children she would bear for him. The youngest, a girl, grew up living in fear of her father. Struck with uncommon self-insight she recognized that the greatest danger that he presented to her was not the violent beatings or the damaging words, it was his potential to shape her into a vessel to carry forward the hatred that consumed him and inflict it on her own family one day. At the age of seven, when most children are dreaming of becoming doctors, nurses, and pilots, she promised herself that she would grow up to create what she envisioned as a House of Mercy. This refuge would provide safety and comfort to women and children in need of the love and kindness that her own mother always gave to her. This young girl survived her father's violent tendencies and grew up dedicated to that promise.
This is the origin of Dreaming Heart.

Dreaming Heart, Inc.™ is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 2017. We work with various organizations in the US and internationally to confront sexual and domestic violence, to combat child illiteracy, and to empower women and children through education and skills training.
